Prior to your first session, you will receive access to our Client Portal where you will complete the necessary paperwork. Please note that this paperwork must be completed at least 24 hours prior to your first session. This will allow your assigned counselor to review your paperwork prior to your first session.
Your first session will generally last 90 minutes. During this appointment, the Christian counselor will provide a thorough evaluation, spend time getting to know you and work with you to identify your therapy goals. A detailed treatment plan is then developed which will include how frequently you will meet with your counselor (weekly, bi-weekly, or monthly). Once the initial counseling process has been completed all subsequent appointments will last 55 minutes. The course of treatment will depend on the factors outlined above.
By integrating God’s Word with evidence-based counseling techniques, our mental health professionals can assist people in adapting to the challenges of life.

We will work alongside you to discover the thoughts, feelings, and repeating behaviors that are preventing your marriage from growing and flourishing. At Concordia Counseling Center your first appointment will always be conducted in person in order to get to know one another and to ensure that telehealth sessions will be a good fit. At this time, telehealth sessions are reserved for individuals already receiving in-person care and who live within the service region.
How do telehealth sessions work?
Concordia Counseling Center offers web-based video counseling using a computer or portable device (tablet, smartphone) with webcam, microphone, and speakers. The video conferencing software used is a secure video conferencing system called Doxyme.
Counseling can be done with individuals, couples, or families in their home or other agreed-upon location. Many of our individual clients take advantage of telehealth sessions in order to conveniently receive services during a break from work or school.
